Executives from Microsoft and eLogic attended the second annual Field Service Connect conference in Austin, TX on November 14-16, 2016 as key event sponsors to network with senior service executives from 75 companies on Connected Field Service. Field Service Connect is an interactive forward-thinking forum dedicated to topics surrounding the IoT, data analytics, future states of field service, market trends, and the talent crunch.
Jim Hare, Senior Global Director for Field Services from Microsoft, Mike Shields, CEO of eLogic & former Services Executive in Fortune 500 Manufacturing, and Michael Martin, Director of Business & Services Excellence for Evoqua Water Technologies presented an esteemed keynote titled “Catch the wave of intelligent, connected Service. The future you’ve been waiting for is NOW.”
Hare, Shields, and Martin showed how the application of new game changing technologies is closing historical gaps between manufacturers, channel partners & customers to maximize market share, wallet share, and customer satisfaction; revealed actionable insights from market leaders across Business, Industry, and Technology sectors; and shared real world customer examples and tips on how to get started with IoT, Predictive Maintenance, Business Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

Jim Hare has over 35 years’ experience in the high tech industry. He was most recently Senior VP of Sales and Marketing of FieldOne, acquired by Microsoft. Jim has won numerous industry awards, including the VAR Business Five Star award five times and is a recognized thought leader in Field Service Management (FSM), Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud computing. The last 5 years have been spent in the rapidly expanding field service management and IoT space. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, an active educator on sales and sales processes and is now helping to drive the global expansion of Microsoft Dynamics Field Service solutions.
